These data are from the analysis described in the manuscript "Molluscan genomes reveal extensive differences in photopigment evolution across the phylum", accepted at Molecular Biology and Evolution. https://doi.org/10.1093/molbev/msad263 README.txt contains file details. Gene predictions for opsin and cryptochrome/photolyase proteins from 80 molluscan genome assemblies. BITACORA (version 1.3; Vizueta et al., 2022) was used for de novo gene prediction; using the “runBITACORA_genome_mode.sh” script to run in genome mode (i.e., no input genome annotation) using GeMoMa (parameter GEMOMA=T).
