Data from Embryo assessment and TUNEL Assay

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) may influence oocyte and embryo quality. However, recent studies have suggested that melatonin supplementation during assisted reproduction cycles may improve oocyte and embryo quality through its anti-apoptotic properties. Therefore, this study analyzed the effect of melatonin supplementation in embryo culture. For this, we used murine models to evaluate embryo quality and to assess apoptosis rate by applying TUNEL Assay to the embryos.
