Gold deposition in some of the world’s most important copper, iron and gold resources remains poorly understood, and controversy surrounds genetic relationships between the major deposit classes, specifically magnetite-apatite, iron-oxide copper gold (IOCG) and porphyry-copper deposits. Using synchrotron radiation, we aim to determine the gold\r\ndeportment at Productora, a potential example of a hybrid IOCG-porphyry-Cu deposit. This will help us determine the physicochemical conditions during ore genesis and alteration in order to understand genetic relationships between these deposit styles, and will also help to resolve mechanisms of gold deposition.\nLineage: Data was produced using the Maia 384 element detector array on the XFM X-ray microprobe beamline of the Australian Synchrotron and processed using the GeoPIXE software package.\n
