Time budget of employees in selected companies.

Topics: recording of activities over a seven day time-frame in
quarter-hour increments; time expended for activities in personal
areas, education, employment, work in the household, education and
leisure time; information on respective interaction partner and further
activities exercised concurrently.

Besides recording the course of the day the following was recorded in
a supplementary interview: nationality; time worked each week;
flextime; overtime and shift work; work on Saturday or Sunday; night
work; frequency of shift changes; change and situation of the work-free
days; on call; ability to plan working hours in advance;
co-determination in planning working hours; assessment of the effects
of the arrangement of working hours on family life, on health, on
organization of leisure time, on opportunities for side-jobs, and
contacts with friends; advantages and disadvantages as well as
improvement suggestions on arrangement of working hours; satisfaction
with working hours; attitude to service evening (long Thursday) {late
store closing}; number, age and occupation of children; possession of
real estate and possession of durable economic goods; satisfaction with
income; use of a weekend house or trailer; frequency of short vacation.
