The data was collected from human brain samples from Alzheimer's disease-affected patients selected from the Neuroscience Group of Antioquia (GNA) database, University of Antioquia, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia. Imaging was performed by first collecting a 2D map of the area of interest of the thick section and then specific areas were further investigated using multi-tilt electron tomography.
