Tourist Survey, Winter 2015

The Tourist Survey is a nationwide survey conducted by Statistics Norway (SSB) on behalf of Innovation Norway. The study is based on interviews with Norwegian and foreign, leisure and business travellers at commercial accommodations. This study includes data on tourists in Norway in 2015, from January to April. The study estimates their overall consumption and considers how consumption was distributed. The survey also compares tourists from different countries and tourists from different parts of Norway. In addition to the analyzes of consumption, the collected data gives insight to the tourists' behavior, their assessment of the holiday and what they do while they are here. The data from the Tourist Survey 2015 are not directly comparable with earlier studies since data from Hurtigruten are included in 2015. For more information, see documentation report.
