RNA-seq on Yarrowia lipolytica (strain E150) on mutated strains on NMD and EJC pathways

In this study we focused on mRNA metabolism in budding yeasts. We considered two pathways, the exon junction complex (EJC) and the nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD). Five RNA-seq libraries were built from the model yeast Yarrowia lipolytica E150, considering the lab strain E150, two mutant strains on the EJC pathway (genes Y14 and MAGO)and two mutant strains on the NMD pathway (genes UPF1 and UPF2). Sequencing platform used was Illumina HiSeq 1500, 50 bd single-reads, unstranded. Two replicates per mutant were sequenced.
