资源简介:

These are the experimental results from SSP585 ensemble simulations supporting our research article, Enhanced Organic Aerosol from Sea-spray Mitigates Global Warming. Sea-spray primary organic aerosol (SSPOA), produced by ocean biological activity, is a key natural aerosol source that regulates marine cloud properties and climate cooling, yet its feedback is not explicitly represented in most Earth-system models. In this study, we advance a fully coupled CESM2 model by incorporating explicit SSPOA emissions, enabling paired present-day and future simulations to quantify its global climate effects. These files include the results from 11 sets of SSP ensemble experiments that support our research. The SSP ensemble experimental results are organized by variable. Each variable folder contains two subfolders, WithSSPOA and WithoutSSPOA, corresponding to simulations with and without the SSPOA component, respectively. Each subfolder includes NetCDF files from 11 SSP585 ensemble members. The variables include cloud droplet number concentration (CDNC), liquid water path (LWP), sea-salt emissions, surface chlorophyll concentration, sea surface temperature (SST), shortwave cloud forcing (SWCF), reference height temperature at 2 m (TREFHT), and 10-m wind speed. SSPOA emissions and SSPOA burden are only available for the WithSSPOA simulations. The SSP ensemble results cover the period from 2025 to 2100, with 2015–2024 used as the spin-up. All files are provided in NetCDF (.nc) format.
