Metabarcoding bulk macroinvertebrate samples and associated ethanol eDNA samples collected from streams in Ontario, Canada

The goal of this study was to compare the community composition of aquatic macroinvertebrates between paired bulk samples and associated ethanol eDNA (environmental DNA) to evaluate how closely preservative-based eDNA metabarcoding reflects the composition of the bulk sample.
