The two AP2/ERF transcription factors PaRAP2.4-2 and PaERF082-1 functions in fatty acid accumulation in transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana

The 27 DEGs influencing plastid FA biosynthesis and 34 DEGs affecting TAG assembly in the ER were identified in PaRAP2.4-2-OE, PaERF082-1-OE, atrap2.4-2ko, and WT plants. Transcriptome data indicated that 16 DEGs in the FA synthesis and TAG assembly were up-regulated in PaRAP2.4-2-OE plants than in the WT, however, only 7 DEGs were up-regulated in PaERF082-1-OE plants than in the WT.Besides, 9 DEGs were found to be up-regulated in PaRAP2.4-2-OE plants compared with PaERF082-1-OE lines. To further confirm the role of PaRAP2.4-2 in fatty acid synthesis, atrap2.4-2ko mutants were added to the analysis. Statistical analysis of the DEGs indicated that PaRAP2.4-2-OE lines had 17 signifcantly up-regulated DEGs than atrap2.4-2ko mutants, while the atrap2.4-2ko mutants had 6 down-regulated DEGs compared with WT. And the expression levels of them in PaRAP2.4-2-OE plants were more than twofold than those of the WT lines.
