Ohio is known to be a key swing state, having changed the party it voted for compared to the previous election in 46.67 percent of U.S. presidential elections between 1960 and 2016. On the other end of the political spectrum is the District of Colombia, who voted for the Democratic party in every one of the 14 elections it participated in since 1964.
