Impact of Daily Rhythms and Postprandial Responses on the Plasma Metabolome
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains participant-level plasma metabolite measurements from two controlled studies that followed the same sampling and dietary protocol. One study included 12 healthy female participants, and the second included 12 healthy male participants. In both studies, samples were collected every two hours (for 34 hours) from 12:00 on Day 1 to 22:00 on Day 2, providing 18 sampling time points per participant, with fixed-macronutrient meals provided at standardised times. Plasma metabolite concentrations were measured using the AbsoluteIDQ® p180 targeted metabolomics kit. The participant-level files contain processed, quality-controlled metabolite concentrations presented in clock time and have not been adjusted to individual dim-light melatonin onset. The repository also contains sex-specific outputs from mixed-effects cosinor models fitted using clock time, together with a structured assessment of 100 randomly sampled human metabolomics studies examining the reporting of sampling time, fasting and timing-related study design. Full information on the files, analytical procedures, variables and limitations is provided in the accompanying README.
