资源简介:
Our study comprehends the transcriptomic analysis of three transgenic sugarcane lines, S3, S4, and S5. These lines manifested the SoP5CS genes customary activity in the absence of humidity after those were transformed transgenically. The performance evaluation of these lines in fields with low water availability was our objective. Deciphering the potentiality of drought-tolerant sugarcane lines developing into true genotypes with improved traits against aridity by recognizing the physiologic and transcriptional changes had been our focus. The recognition of drought-related genes being activated during long term unavailability of water using RNA-sequence technology remained a motif of this research. So, we opted for transcriptome de novo analysis by using an Illumina Hiseq XTM platform. So far, transgenic omics is a new field and particularly, sugarcane has not been under many experiments. Moreover, exploring the genes profile of multiple transgenic lines in contrast to wild type was exclusively a new idea. We expect that our findings will set a benchmark in the transgenic sugarcane transcriptomics.
