To explore and characterize novel genes involved in the biosynthesis of benzylisoquinoline alkaloid in Corydalis solida, transcriptome analysis using different tissues (leaf blade, petiole, and tuber) was performed. Our findings will contribute to elucidate biosynthetic enzymes, transcription factors, and transporters involved in the production of valuable alkaloids such as corydaline and tetrahydropalmatine found in the tuber of Corydalis species.
