Aromatic plants are a collective term for cultivated and wild plants that possess a distinct fragrance and are suitable for extracting aromatic essential oils. These plants not only impart a feeling of ease and refreshment to people but also have medicinal value. With their increasingly widespread applications in daily life, they are often processed into essential oils and other related products. The China Aromatic Plant Database was specifically developed based on data scanned, digitized and organized from the two-volume monograph *Chinese Aromatic Plants*. This database can be used for plant resource investigation and species identification, boasting strong indigenous relevance and practicality, and can serve as a professional tool repository.
