Using the Illumina HiSeq 2500 sequencing platform for high-throughput DNA sequencing, the cDNA libraries were sequenced, and 24.39 Gb of clean reads were generated with an average of 6.1 Gb clean reads per sample. More than 98% of the reads had quality scores >Q20, and 95% were >Q30. Using the Trinity assembler, 96,417 unigenes were generated with average length of 880 bp and an N50 length of 1,458 bp.
