These files contain characteristics of ventilated cavities formed in the wake of a two-dimensional wedge at different flow conditions, i.e. flow inertia, gas ventilation rate and ventilation strategies. The main aim of this work was to examine the closure region of the cavities and how it influences gas ejection rates, geometry and gas distribution in the cavity. The void (gas) fraction fields of ventilated cavities are obtained using X-ray densitometry. The full details of the study can be found in the underlying manuscript. This dataset will help researchers for the validation of their numerical models aimed at simulating complex bubbly flows.
本数据集收录了不同流动工况下,二维楔体尾流中形成的通气空腔的相关特性,所涉流动工况包括流动惯性、气体通气速率及通气策略。本研究的核心目标为探究空腔的闭合区域,及其对空腔内气体逸出速率、空腔几何形态与气体分布的影响机制。通气空腔的空隙率(void (gas) fraction)场通过X射线密度测量法(X-ray densitometry)获取。本研究的完整细节可参见所附手稿。本数据集可辅助研究人员验证其针对复杂气泡流模拟的数值模型。
