Metagenomic analysis in mice subjected to DSS and treated with L. casei IDCC 3451.

To investigate the immunomodulatory effects of L. casei IDCC 3451 on colitis induced by DSS (Dextran sulfate sodium) in mice, the animals were organized into four groups: DSSCONT (control group), DSS (mice subjected to Dextran sulfate sodium), DSS3451 (mice with DSS-induced colitis treated with L. casei IDCC 3451), and DSSLGG (mice with DSS-induced colitis treated with L. rhamnosus GG as a positive control). Each group consisted of 6 biosamples, with fecal samples collected and analyzed by group. Genomic analysis of the fecal microbiota for each group was performed, with the study including 4 replicates of each analysis.
