Mickid (microbiota and kidney)

Randomized, open-label, parallel-group clinical trial. Twenty-three patients with advanced Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and vascular calcification (VC) were recruited and randomized to either receive or not the a probiotic commercially available being constituted by a mixture of from the Lactobacillus and Ruminococcaceae families , adjusted to a dose of 15 ml/day orally, containing 109 CFU/ml, for 6 months.
