Mice were administered different lines of bacteria, some of which had immune-suppressive qualities, some of which had immune exacerbating qualities, and the impact upon the immune system in the context of arthritis was evaluated. The microbiome analysis aims to correlate the microbial changes with immune changes and disease severity in predicting the treatment strategies for arthritis using microbial therapeutics.
