Sequencing of smallRNAs of liver tissue with hepatocarcinoma

Liver cancer still corresponds to serious diseases and affects significant people worldwide. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is considered a complex disease and still challenges the scientific community due to its heterogeneity and diverse etiologies. The development and application of multiple biotechnologies, including next generation sequencing and epigenomics has been used for HCC diagnostic biomarker screening. Effective biomarkers have been identified and validated at different clinical levels. This work contributes to the generation of the knowledge landscape on how microRNA's act to establish the neoplastic event, with a unique methodology where paired samples were used between tumoral and adjacent tissue and compared with healthy liver tissue.
