资源简介:
The purpose of an admission register was to record basic details about children admitted to the school, and about their parents or guardians. The registers were also used to record the progress of the children through various classes and the date of their leaving the school.Girls and boys were generally listed on opposite pages in order of admission, although by 1985 girls and boys appear to be listed together. These volumes contain information generally pertaining to each student including: date of admission; pupil's name; gender (volume 2); date of birth; religious denomination; name of previous school, date of leaving, and grade entered from. The following details are generally recorded about the child's parents or guardians: name, residence, occupation, and whether Father, Mother or Guardian (volume 2). The pupil's date of admission to each subsequent grade, date of leaving the school and destination of the student (occupation entered into or other school enrolled in) is also generally recorded.Admission registers in paper format ceased in 1999 when the department moved to recording enrolment details in electronic format.
