Klebsiella pneumoniae outbreak in a neonatal care unit in sub-Saharan Africa. Klebsiella pneumoniae

Here we investigated a suspected outbreak of K. pneumoniae on a neonatal ward. We studied all K. pneumoniae bloodstream isolates reported from neonates admitted to the ward over a four-year period, encompassing the suspected outbreak period in 2014, as well as a random selection of K. pneumoniae bloodstream isolates reported from other paediatric wards in the same hospital.
