Shortwave Radiation Data (J-OFURO)

Japanese Ocean Flux data sets with Use of Remote sensing Observations (J-OFURO) Constructed shorewave radiation data using remote sensing observations. Available are monthly mean and 1 degree by 1 degree grid data over Jan. 1992 - Sep. 2001 and daily mean and 0.25 degree by 0.25 degree grid data. Data variable is solar radiation at the sea surface (W/m 2 ). Data sources include: GMS/VISSR, DMSP/SSMI, NOAA/AVHRR, and TOMS.
