Sanitary Protection Areas

This dataset represents Sanitary Protection Areas (SPAs) around public water supply wells in New Hampshire. Each zone is sized based on the amount of water the well supplies, providing spatial guidance for protecting drinking water sources from potential contamination. Maintained by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES), the layer supports source water protection, land use planning, permitting, and emergency response.
