README / Dataset description Aberrometric profile of decentered Acunex intraocular lenses Dataset prepared for deposition in Zenodo 1. Dataset overview This dataset contains processed Zernike coefficient measurements obtained with the NIMO TR1504 system for two +20.00 D Acunex intraocular lenses measured under a centered condition and controlled horizontal and vertical decentration conditions. For each combination of intraocular lens model, optical analysis zone, and lens position, ten repeated measurements were acquired. The public dataset contains both the individual measurements and a wide-format summary with the mean, standard deviation, and repeatability coefficient for each Zernike term. 2. Files included File Content Recommended use Zernikes_Acunex_20_Zenodo.xlsx Excel workbook containing the individual-measurement dataset and the wide-format summary dataset in separate worksheets. Main reusable dataset for readers and inspection in spreadsheet software. Zernikes_Acunex_20_Zenodo_long.csv Long-format dataset. Each row corresponds to one Zernike coefficient from one repeated measurement. Recommended for reproducible analysis in R, Python, or other statistical software. Zernikes_Acunex_20_Zenodo_summary.csv Wide-format summary dataset. Each row corresponds to one Zernike coefficient for one lens, optical zone, and IOL position. Recommended for checking reported averages and reproducing summary figures. 3. Experimental conditions Lens models: AN6V (Add +1.50 D) and AN6VM (Add +3.00 D), both with a base power of +20.00 D. Optical analysis zones: 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm. IOL positions: C, D05(x), D10(x), D05(y), D10(y), D05(-y), and D10(-y). Repeated measurements: M01 to M10 for each combination of lens model, optical zone, and position. Zernike terms: 23 coefficients per measurement, ranging from Z(0:0) to selected terms up to Z(8:0). 4. Position coding Code Condition Decentration magnitude C Centered condition 0 mm D05(x) Horizontal decentration toward +x 0.5 mm D10(x) Horizontal decentration toward +x 1.0 mm D05(y) Vertical decentration toward +y 0.5 mm D10(y) Vertical decentration toward +y 1.0 mm D05(-y) Vertical decentration toward -y 0.5 mm D10(-y) Vertical decentration toward -y 1.0 mm 5. Data structure and variables The Excel workbook contains two worksheets: “individual_measurements”, which mirrors the long-format CSV file, and “summary_wide”, which mirrors the summary CSV file. Variable Description Units / coding Coefficient Zernike coefficient label using the notation Z(n:m), where n is radial order and m is azimuthal frequency. Text; for example Z(4:0) or Z(3:-1) Aberration Aberration name associated with the Zernike coefficient. Text Value Individual Zernike coefficient value in the long-format dataset. Micrometers (µm) Type Lens category used in the analysis dataset. Multifocal IOL Intraocular lens model and nominal addition. AN6V (Add +1.50 D) or AN6VM (Add +3.00 D) Power Base power of the intraocular lens. +20.00 D Add Nominal addition power. +1.50 D or +3.00 D Position IOL position during measurement. C, D05(x), D10(x), D05(y), D10(y), D05(-y), or D10(-y) Zone Diameter of the optical zone used for the Zernike analysis. 3.0 mm or 4.5 mm Measure Identifier of the repeated measurement in the long-format dataset. M01 to M10 M01-M10 Individual repeated coefficient values in the wide-format summary dataset. Micrometers (µm) Average Arithmetic mean across the ten repeated measurements. Micrometers (µm) SD Standard deviation across the ten repeated measurements. Micrometers (µm) CoR Repeatability coefficient used in the analysis, calculated as 1.96 × SD. Micrometers (µm) Desc_amount Nominal magnitude of IOL decentration. 0, 0.5, or 1.0 mm Desc_direction Direction of IOL displacement. -, (x), (y), or (-y)
