VPRS 12770 General Files, Passenger Services Division, Commercial Department, Business Planning Section

This series contains general files maintained by the Commercial Department and the Business Development Group within the Passenger Services Division. The series also contains files of the former Met Planning and Marketing Group and VLine Passenger Marketing Group.The Commercial Department was responsible for the provision of increased focus on marketing the Met transport products, as well as on service development and service specification in a co-ordinated way for all three modes. The Department was also responsible for revenue management and protection on a system-wide basis and provided a service monitoring function for all three operating modes.In 1991, the Marketing Division incorporated all the functions of the Commercial Department (excluding the Business Planning Section in the Passenger Services Division).
