Sectorisation of public colleges: delimitation of geographical areas affecting pupils in a college.
The Decentralisation Act of 13 August 2004 on local freedoms and responsibilities transferred to the departments the determination of the sectorisation of colleges. The Departmental Assembly has become competent to decide, after consulting the Departmental Committee for National Education (CDEN), the sectors for the recruitment of pupils, taking into account the criteria of demographic, economic and social balance, with the State remaining competent for the placement of pupils.
