Significant amplification of instantaneous extreme precipitation with convective self-aggregation
收藏资源简介:
This item contains the System for Atmospheric Modeling (SAM) simulations data used for the published, peer-reviewed manuscript “Significant amplification of instantaneous extreme precipitation with convective self-aggregation". Two simulations were performed with SAM in order to investigate the effect of convective self-aggregation on precipitation extremes. The first one is a control (CTRL, called "n02" in the file names) in which convection is randomly distributed throughout the domain. The second simulation was designed such that convection self-aggregates in a circular region of the domain (AGG, called "n01" in the file names). The datasets contains 3 NetCDF (.nc) files per simulation. For each simulations, these 3 files contain 1D, 2D and 3D output data.
