资源简介:
Short Description
This dataset contains surface water polygons for UTM Zone54 (~138-144°E, 55-76.3°N) based on Nitze et al., (2017, 2018) in GeoPackage format (gpkg). Furthermore it also contains annual surface water area for each polygon using the JRC Surface annual surface water dataset v1.4 (Pekel et al, 2016) in netCDF format (nc). Both datasets (vector + netcdf) can be joined with the id_geohash field, which is unique for each feature.
This is an intermediary dataset of a larger effort to create a panarctic lake change dataset.
Files
lakes_reinken_etal_subsetN.gpkg
geospatial vector file
Projection: EPSG:4326
unique id: id_geohash
attributes
several attributes about long term lake change and geometry
lakes_reinken_etal_subsetN.nc
netCDF file
Coordinates:
id_geohash (unique identifier to join with geospatial vector file)
date (YYYY-01-01) to indicate the surface water area in respective year and lake/feature
Data variables
area_land (land area in ha)
area_nodata (noData area in ha)
area_water_permanent (permanent water area in ha)
area_water_seasonal (seasonal water area in ha)
Usage
The files can be used with python using xarray (incl. netCDF4) for loading the netCDF file and geopandas for the GeoPackage file. The latter can be also viewed with standard GIS software, e.g. QGIS.
