The PM4 easements relate to water retention areas, stream mobility zones, and so-called ‘water management strategy’ areas and relate to the following:
— the creation of temporary retention areas for floodwater or runoff, by means of improvements to artificially increase their storage capacity of such waters, in order to reduce floods or runoff in downstream areas;
— the creation or restoration of the mobility areas of the minor bed of a watercourse upstream of urbanised areas in areas known as ‘mobility areas of a watercourse’, in order to preserve or restore its essential hydrological and geomorphological characteristics;
— preservation or restoration of “strategic areas for water management” defined by the plan for the sustainable management and management of water resources and aquatic environments of a water management and management scheme (SAGE).
