We investigated the relationship between IgA nephropathy and the bacterial flora in the tonsils by comparing the bacterial community in the crypts of the tonsils of IgAN patients and those of recurrent tonsillitis patients using metagenomic sequencing and genomic sequencing of isolated bacterial strains.
