资源简介:
Pinus thunbergii is an important forest tree in Japan. It is susceptible to pine needle gall midge which significantly inhibits tree growth. Marker-assisted selection can be an important tool in tree breeding programs to develop insect resistant varieties. Currently two maps for Pinus thunbergii are available at NCBI. kondo_2000 is a RAPD based linkage map constructed using F1 progeny from a cross between a resistant Pinus thunbergii tree, designated Taichu-touokuiku 17 and a susceptible tree, No. 6 . Total length of the map was 1469.8 cM, with an average marker density of 15.6 cM. Map data for this map was obtained from Kondo et al., Theor Appl Genet (2000) 100:391–395. Hayashi_01 provides an update to kondo_2000 map by adding AFLP marker data to the RAPD map. Map data is published in Hayashi et al., Theor Appl Genet (2001) 102:871–875. Additional maps can be obtained from TreeGenes database that maintains tree genome resources.
