资源简介:
The gray short-tailed opossum (Monodelphis domestica) is a small marsupial that inhabits parts of South America. However, it does not have a true pouch. It is a research model as it breeds relatively easily in the laboratory, and neonates can be readily accessed. This gemone is from a captive bred colony, procured and collected by Leah Krubitzer at the University of California Davis and Rebecca Hodge at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, and used to generate a high-quality reference for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, lead by Olivier Fedrigo and Erich D. Jarvis, with support from Ed Lien and Trygve Bakken at the Allen Institute for Brain Science.
