Lunar Sodium Exosphere Emission Line Widths: Observational Data and Derived Quantities (2013–2016)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the manuscript "Velocity-Resolved Analysis of Line-Widths of Sodium Emissions from the Lunar Surface Bounded Exosphere" (Sacchi et al., 2026). The dataset contains high-resolution observations of lunar sodium D2 emission line widths collected between 2013 and 2016 using the Fabry–Perot Spectrometer at the McMath–Pierce Solar Telescope, Kitt Peak National Observatory. The dataset includes newly analyzed observations of the eastern (dawn), western (dusk), northern, and southern lunar limbs, focusing on phases near full Moon. These measurements are used to investigate variations in sodium emission line widths with local time, phase angle, and observing period. For comparison, the dataset also includes previously analyzed measurements provided by Kuruppuaratchi et al. (2018), supplemented with calculated lunar local times for the present study. The accompanying Excel file and README provide observational measurements, associated uncertainties, derived quantities, and information on the organization and interpretation of the data.
