Whole Genome Sequence and Molecular Characterization of phiMMP03, a Myoviridae Phage Infecting Clostridium difficile. Clostridioides difficile strain:phiMMP03

Clostridium difficile strains have been investigated for the presence of functional prophages. Following mitomycine C induction, temperate phages have been isolated. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) has revealed member of Siphoviridae / Myoviridae family. Phage DNA has been purified following phage amplification on sensitive host and subjected to complete genome sequencing using Illumina technology. Following sequencing, double stranded-DNA (dsDNA) genomes have been assembled and annotated.
