Multi-Functional Electro-materials for Advanced Electrocatalysis and Energy Storage

This thesis focuses on developing efficient and low-cost materials to improve the performance of metal-air batteries. These batteries are promising for clean energy storage but suffer from slow oxygen reactions during charging and discharging. The research uses special porous carbon materials made from metal-organic frameworks like ZIF-11 and ZIF-20, combined with cobalt and iron. A simpler method was also developed to make these materials without complex synthesis steps. The results show better battery performance and stability. This work provides useful insights for designing advanced materials for future energy storage and conversion technologies.
