Data for "Changes in Sea Surface Temperatures and Primary Productivity in the Northern Japan Sea Since the Pliocene"
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains paleoclimatic proxy records (Alkenone-based sea surface temperature (SST)) and age-depth model data from the marine sediment core IODP Expedition 346 U1423, collected in the Japan Sea off Hokkaido of Japan. This data is discussed in Aoyagi et al. (2026, Paleoceanography and Paleoclimatology). Location: 41°41.95'N, 139°4.98'E Water Depth: 1,785 m Variable Descriptions CSF-A [m]: Core Depth Below Seafloor, Method A CCSF-D_Patched [m]: Corrected Composite Scale - Depth established by Irino et al. (2018) Age [Ma]: calibrated age based on the U1424_LR04 tuned age model UK'37: alkenone unsaturation index SST [℃]: Reconstructed Sea Surface Temperature based on alkenones, converted using the calibration as reported by Müller et al. (1998) LSR [cm/ka]: Linear Sedimentation Rate Moist Bulk Density [g/cm3]: calculated from gamma ray attenuation MAR [g/ka・cm2]: Mass Accumulation Rate Diol Index 1: upwelling indicator as reported by Rampen et al. (2008) Diol Index 2: upwelling indicator as reported by Willmott et al. (2011) ACL: Average Chain Length of long-chain (C25-C35) n-alkanes CPI: Carbon Preference Index of long-chain (C23-C35) n-alkanes reported by Marzi et al. (1993)
