Bottom Boundary Layer Currents from a Semi-global ROMS Simulation

Three-year averaged ROMS simulation of the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans at 6 km horizontal resolution. Output variables include 3D velocity fields in grid-oriented coordinates, as well as the corresponding prograde and downhill components, defined along isobaths in the direction of topographic Rossby wave propagation. Velocities are vertically averaged over the local bottom boundary layer thickness as diagnosed by the K-Profile Parameterization (KPP) scheme. The data are provided in NetCDF format.
