资源简介:
The goal of the study associated with this dataset was to characterize flow-ecology relationships for Mottled Sculpin (Cottus bairdii) and Mountain Sucker (Catostomus platyrhynchus) in snowpack driven headwater streams of the Upper Green River Basin in Wyoming, U.S.A. Our objectives were to: 1) evaluate whether variation in Mottled Sculpin and Mountain Sucker abundance is driven by spatial and/or temporal flow characteristics and 2) examine spatial and temporal variation in population abundance within and among species and life stages. We modeled fish population abundance in relation to modeled segment-scale streamflow data across 64 sites and eight years. This data release contains fish data for those 64 sites of 100 m length in two stream drainages, Dry Piney and South Beaver, which originate on the eastern flank of the Wyoming Range in the Upper Green River Basin, Wyoming, U.S.A. We collected fish using single-pass and multiple-pass (2012–2019) backpack electrofishing. All fish were identified to species, measured (total length), and released to the original site.
