This project establishes an effective grafting system using the Colletotrichum camelliae-susceptible tea cultivar 'Qianmei 818' as scion and the resistant 'Qianmei 419' as rootstock. Field trials demonstrate reduced disease incidence in grafted scions while preserving high EGCG content. Through transcriptome, we aim to uncover scion-rootstock interactions, signal transduction pathways, and molecular mechanisms for enhanced resistance, providing insights for breeding resilient tea plants.
