VPRS 16978 Field Books

This is a series of field books created by St Arnaud Sewerage Authority (VA 2031)Survey books are used by surveyors in the field to survey allotments (Field Books) and water levels / tables (Level Books). Each page contains drawings, plots and/or annotations showing angles and distances from guide points and (in some cases) the outline and details of subdivisions and constructions thereon.Information from survey books is used to draw up plans to plot water, sewerage and drainage works.Familiarity with survey techniques is necessary to make full use of these records.The P1 consignment comprises field book containing survey details of blocks of land in a section in the town of St Arnaud. The books are hand drawn and there is an index on the front page which shows a map of the sections surveyed.
