Transcriptome profile of two Iranian chickpea cultivars (Ana and Hashem) under Fusarium wilt (Foc6) disease

Two chickpea cultivars, Ana and Hashem, were included in this study. RNA-seq was carried out at early time point (48 hours as a crucial case study) upon Foc6 invasion and differential transcriptomic analysis was performed. The results revealed induction as well as suppression of several defense responsive transcripts. Eventually, attempts were made to map the defense responsive components in an inter-connected defense regulatory network and identify the regulatory hubs that likely control the entire defense signaling cascade in chickpea during Foc6 attack.
