FrontierGraph Observation 2: An OpenAlex source change in the September quant capture

The observed sample changed substantially, but an OpenAlex source reassignment accounts for most of its lost works. This release documents that coverage break. It does not claim that quantitative-finance research declined or that the topic-growth ratio predicts future activity. The attached capture audit provides the work-ID lists behind the comparison. This record holds release FG-QUANT-2026Q3-R3 of the FrontierGraph research observatory: 10 tables describing a corpus of 8,534 works captured from OpenAlex on 2026-06-11 and 2026-09-29, a README, a METHODOLOGY that states what each table may claim and what is withheld, and the observation brief. Read the METHODOLOGY's limitations before drawing conclusions from any table. Check the files with shasum -a 256 -c checksums.txt, which needs no FrontierGraph install. The bundle is also signed (Ed25519, key ed25519:a008d81ce1604b67; the public key is attached). Checking that signature currently needs FrontierGraph's verify-release, which is not public.
