Hydrogeological map 1:500.000 - Groundwater level Muschelkalk

Distribution of the groundwater equilibrium of the shell limestone as a specialist layer of the hydrogeological map 1:500 000. The presentation is recommended together with the separate specialist layers of relevant aquifers. Zoom limit min. 1:1 000 000 to max. 1:200 000.
Groundwater equals are lines of the same heights of a groundwater surface or groundwater pressure surface. The basis for the creation of groundwater levels is the knowledge of groundwater levels in boreholes, wells, groundwater measuring points and springs as well as on surface waters, which are interpolated into lines of the same height taking into account hydrogeological and hydraulic conditions. In addition, existing groundwater level plans were taken into account in the preparation (see explanations for the hydrogeological map of Bavaria 1:500 000, Figure 6-2 and Table 6-1). Inaccuracies in the construction of the groundwater equals result in particular from the uneven distribution of the digestion points.
Geometry and legend units are designed for a viewing scale of 1:500,000 (1 cm on a map corresponds to 5 km in nature) and are generally highly generalized. The HK 500 is intended as a basis for larger-scale considerations, it does not replace detailed studies and assessment by a specialist office in the planning of local projects.
