Cyclocarya paliurus leaves alleviate obesity via regulating gut microbiota

High-sucrose diet are popular in daily life, but harmful to our health. How the high-sucrose diet influences the intestinal metabolism is still unclear. Cyclocarya paliurus leaves (CPL), as a kind of tea to alleviate metabolic diseases, is widely used by Chinese. However, the effects of CPL on high-sucrose induced obesity is unknown, and mechanisms of CPL to regulate intestinal metabolism might exist.This study aimed to describe the changes of gut microbiota and gut metabolites by high-sucrose diet, and to reveal the potential mechanisms of CPL to alleviate the high-sucrose diet induced obesity.
