Gross load capacity of electrical energy in the supply area of the canton of Zurich

The gross load rate corresponds to the electrical energy emitted in the grid area of the EKZ (electricity plants of the canton of Zurich) in a resolution of 15 minutes. Only the energy delivered to (directly connected) end users is shown. EKZ supplies most of the canton of Zurich with electricity. The network area is divided into the regions Limmattal, Oberland, Sihl, Weinland and goes beyond the cantonal area with EKZ Einsiedeln. The exact extent of the distribution area is linked below. The data are calculated and aggregated daily from the energy values measured the previous day. Individual readings may be missing or incorrectly measured; they are subsequently adjusted manually. Possible corrections are made up to six months after the measurement. Some caution is required when interpreting the values, as factors such as weather conditions (e.g. heating or sunshine duration), home office or change in the number of customers have a significant impact on electricity consumption.
