辐射温度计是以物体的红外辐射强度与温度成一定的函数关系为基础的。这种测温方法称为非接触测温或间接测温，亦可称为辐射测温法。辐射温度计的校准参考规程利用辐射温度计检定装置进行。由被检工作用辐射温度计测量黑体辐射源的辐射温度，与利用标准器测得的黑体辐射源温度进行比较，确定被检辐射温度计的示值误差。
