Transcriptome Profiling of the Whole Blood of Dairy Cattle Differing in Milk Protein Yield

We functionally analyzed the blood transcriptomes from low- and high- milk protein yield to identify differences that might contribute to variation in milk production and quality. Overall design: RNA-seq was performed on the whole blood of 8 low RFI and 8 high RFI animals to obtain transcriptomes for functional analysis using bioinformatics.
