Available at: https://doi.org/10.1186/s40793-025-00677-7.The main database (tab-delimited file), additional files and R scripts used to parse and analyze the data are provided.The main dataset provided (UrbanSoil_DB_with_metrics.tsv) was generated based on a raw database retrieved from Web of Science (see the paper for further details) by adding citations and the Altmetric Attention Score using the uRban_v5_add_metrics.R script.Modeling and statistics were performed using the uRban_v5_models_and_statistics.R script and the datasets provided here as input.Auth_lon_lat.txt > geographical coordinates for each of the investigated site across the reviewed studies (WGS84).StudySite_lon_lat.txt > geographical coordinates for each of the corresponding author institution across the reviewed studies (WGS84).
